Top security official says China will deal harshly with Olympics protesters
BEIJING (AP) - Chinese police will deal harshly with social or political demonstrations at the Beijing Olympics, a top security official said Friday.
With 28,000 journalists expected to attend, the Aug. 8-24 Olympics offer a rare chance for protesters to express grievances against China's communist government on issues including religious freedom, Tibetan independence and global warming.
Defending the measures, Liu said the protest clampdown at Olympic sites is in line with the Olympic charter, which he said forbids "any form of political, religious or racial demonstration.''
His assistant, Cao Dongxiang, said protesters who managed to get inside a venue would be dealt with quickly.
"If a protester holds up a banner, it's against the rules, so security will take it down,'' Cao said.

Finns Kina?
"Vänstervåg i repris
"Vänstervågen böljar än en gång in över Latinamerika.
Och Kina har ju klart deklarerat att det är socialism de strävar efter, inte någon liberal "demokrati" som vi nyliberaler blivit indoktrinerade att tro ;
China promises socialism for 100 years
"China's prime minister promised to maintain "socialism for 100 years" yesterday as the Communist Party tried to play down media discussion of political reform."

Outrage is Good!
The recent row over Carl Bildts totally justified attack on the vicious genocidal Cuban terrorist regime is totally absurd.
The Cuban regime is the worlds worst human rights offender with the worlds most brutal dictatorship!
Not only that there are severe restrictions on freedom of expression and association that affect thousands of people across Cuba. They have as many as 67 prisoners of conscience and are guilty of 3 executions back in 2003 !!!
1 million dead in Iraq, 450,000 in Darfur, the Chinese government executing 3 people per day, public beheadings in Saudi Arabia or Irans 66 executions per year, all pales in comparison to the vicious brutal regime of Cuba.

Democracy in China 100 years away
A bit old news but still;
"28 Feb, 2007 BEJING: China's communist leaders have no plans to allow democracy in the near future because they must focus on economic development before political reform, premier Wen Jiabao said in comments published on Tuesday.
Democracy will emerge once a "mature socialist system" develops but that might not happen for up to 100 years, Wen wrote in an article in the People's Daily, the main Communist Party newspaper.
The premier, China's No. 3 leader, said the country is "still far from advancing out of the primary stage of socialism. We must adhere to party's basic guidelines of the primary stage of socialism for 100 years."
"A highly developed democracy and a complete legal system are inherent requirements of the socialist system and important symbols of a mature socialist system," Wen said."
Thats strange... I thought free trade would transform China into a capitalist liberal democracy... silly me.
Then wouldnt that mean that the biggest economy in the world would be a communist dictatorship? Now thats quite a comeback for communism after the fall of the Soviet Union!
Marxism also seems to be in vogue in San Fransisco and there is quite a lot happening in South America as well...

Dubbelmoral is Good!
Nu anklagas Wiehe inte bara för att vara diktaturkramare utan dessutom för att vara en kapitalistisk diktaturkramare som gör affärer på kommunismen;
Så det är lite märkligt att beskylla Mikael Wiehe för något som har varit en fin svensk tradition sedan Hitler och förmodligen långt tidigare, och något som inte kunde ligga mer i tiden;
Svenska rekordvinster i Kina
"PEKING.

PJ Anders Linder is Good!
"Och vart flyr de?"
PJ Anders Linder - SvD
Jo, de som inte gillar fattigdomen och förtrycket på Kuba flyr till det underbara fria rika Florida;
Florida farmworkers take aim at McDonald's
A coalition of migrant farmworkers is taking its fight against wages that leave U.S. tomato pickers in deep poverty to the home of McDonald's Corp., the world's largest restaurant company.
Help Us Abolish Sweatshops in Florida's Fields!
There is today a human rights crisis in Florida's fields. But this
human rights crisis does not begin and end with slavery. Rather,
slavery is only the most extreme form of the sweatshop conditions that exist throughout Florida's agricultural industry where workers toil from dawn to dusk for sub-poverty wages at a piece rate that hasn't changed significantly in nearly 30 years, with no right to overtime pay, no health insurance, no sick leave, no paid vacation or pension, and no right to organize if they would hope to improve these conditions.
On this anniversary of the signing of the 13th Amendment, the CIW is announcing an important new action in our campaign to abolish slavery and sweatshops in Florida agriculture.
Tell McDonald's to Ensure Fair Wages for Farm Workers
Farm workers who pick tomatoes for McDonald's sandwiches earn 40 to 50 cents for every 32-pound bucket of tomatoes they pick. Workers who toil from dawn to dusk without the right to overtime pay or any benefits must pick two tons of tomatoes to earn $50 in one day. As a major buyer of Florida tomatoes, McDonald's high-volume, low-cost purchasing practices place downward pressure on farm worker wages, putting corporate profits before human dignity.
Florida State students arrested for protesting outside 'free-speech areas'
Twelve Florida State University students were arrested on trespassing charges after protesting what they say is the university's support of sweatshops.
"Low wage "sweatshops" are a normal and necessary step in the process of economic development."

Frihandel is Good!
Kina förstärker sin demokrati ytterligare med en ökad militärbudget på 17.8%;
"China's military budget will increase by 17.8% in 2007, the spokesman for the National People's Congress has said.
China says its military budget rose by 14.7% last year to $36.6bn (£18.6bn), but the US and other observers believe the actual figure may be two or three times that amount."
Men av någon anledning oroar denna utveckling USA;
"US Vice-President Dick Cheney said China's military build-up and satellite tests were at odds with its stated peaceful aims."
Frihandel löser ju alla världens problem bara man tror tillräckligt mycket på den, vilket jag ser till min förfäran att vissa inte längre gör;

Golden Shield is Good!
Sånt hade aldrig hänt i Sverige!
---
Apropå Johan Norberg så lyssnade jag på en intervju där den Heritage Foundation-hyllade nyliberale hjälten målade upp den sköna nya världen som kommer att infinna sig så snart kapitalismen nått varenda lilla hörn av världen och varje sandkorn och vattenmolekyl på jorden är privatiserad. Han fick också några tuffa frågor som han tacklade på ett underbart magiskt sätt;
“It is correct that the wealth of the world is very unevenly distributed… the reason why it is unevenly distributed is that there is an uneven distribution of capitalism [..] The problem of the world today is too little globalization and too little capitalism.”

Trade Unions are Bad!
Det är inte bara i Sverige fack-maffian sprider hat, även Kina har börjat infiltreras av anti-kapitalistska terrorister, ett stort antal andra västföretag hotas av nya regleringar på den annars så guldkantade Kinesiska marknaden ;
"Action Plan for Labor Contracts
In April, the ACFTU, Ministry of Labor and Social Security and China Enterprise Directors Association unveiled the Three-Year Action Plan for the Promotion of the Labor Contract System. Under the plan, all enterprises across the country are required to sign contracts with their employees within three years from 2006 to 2008. The signing rate for 2006 is expected to reach 80 percent.
In April, the ACFTU issued a document unveiling protection measures for migrant workers. The document calls on trade unions to protect migrant workers at source, guarantee their right to join and form trade unions, and recruit the majority of workers into trade unions. In 2006, trade unions around the country shall recruit 6.5 million migrant workers and the number is expected to reach 70 percent by the year 2008. "
Till och med Wal-Mart som annars alltid lyckats vinna kampen mot maffia-facket, har attackerats...;
Wal-Mart vs. All-China Federation of Trade Unions
Wal-Mart, the biggest retailer in the world, has become the target of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU), for refusing to establish trade unions in its branches in China.
...och trots hårt motstånd, förlorat;
"Wal-Mart's recent agreement to recognize unions in China has made headlines worldwide. But Wal-Mart and other corporations, including Google, UPS, Microsoft, Nike, AT&T, and Intel, have acted through the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (AmCham) and other industry associations to try to block Chinese legislation that would significantly increase the power and protection of workers."
Det är socialistiska hat-propagandister och anti-kapitalistiska terrorister som Neil Kearney, generalsekreterare på ITGLWF som sprider villfarelser och lögner..;
“Socially responsible corporations should be trying to help to raise the standards of workers around the world. They should not be trying to prevent governments from adopting laws to protect their workers”.
Företag ska inte ta något socialt ansvar, dom ska bara öka vinsten till varje pris och Kina pressar ju ner lönenivån globalt så att alla företag gynnas...;
"The ability to hire cheap labor in China has put downward pressure on wages and workers' conditions around the globe. China plays a key role in setting global wage norms.
It is the linchpin of what Morgan Stanley chief economist Stephen Roach has called “global labor arbitrage” in which corporations move from one labor market to another to take advantage of cheaper labor.
The result is a global “race to the bottom” in which workers and their communities are put into competition with each other to see who can provide the lowest-cost labor and the most corporate-friendly conditions."

Bush is Good!
In his 2007 state of the union speech he made it clear how important american support of freedom and democracy in the middle east is for combatting muslim sharia dictatorships and terrorism and how the US support of democracy has made the world a safer place.
"Free people are not drawn to violent and malignant ideologies" he said and it is so true, liberal free democracies like the US and Israel are on the forefront of spreading peace and liberty in the arabworld.
He stressed how important US collaboration with peaceful democracies like China is to make the Korean peninsula nuclear arms free just as the US support of UN resolutions against Iran will make sure the middle east also remains free from dangerous nuclear arms that could start a cold war style armsrace in the region.
Bush competent leadership and crusade for world peace, human rights and civil liberties is a model for swedish politicians and would no doubt restore swedens former glory and international reputation if more emulated by swedish politicians.
The Bush administrations close relationship to big business also shows that even if the national state as such is an evil whos influence should be kept at a minimum it can effectively be tamed and led in the right direction.

Bribes are Good!
"SHANGHAI: The police have detained 22 people in a bribery investigation here that has ensnared some of the world's biggest companies, including McDonald's, Whirlpool, McKinsey & Co. and ABB, state-run news media reported Friday."
I dont understand why completely normal business arrangement are considered illegal? The state shouldnt dictate how to run a business, that is best kept in the hands of the corporations themselves.
This is clearly an attack on free enterprise!
And as Johan Norberg points out corporations can be trusted a lot more than governments;
"... an Edelman survey of 3 100 opinion leaders in 18 countries show that corporations gain in popularity and that businesses are now more trusted than governments in every continent."
Although the quoted PR firm Edelman actually said;
"The survey of 3,100 "opinion leaders" in 18 countries by the public relations firm Edelman suggests that corporate governance reforms and the rising wealth of individuals in many developing nations are helping the corporate sector to improve its credibility."
Johan Norberg also fails to mention that;
"NGOs (non-governmental organisations) beat business to the top spot in North America and Europe, with most respondents ranking them as the most trusted institution"
Which is very good news for oilfunded thinktanks who shaped the successful oil liberation in Iraq and organizations of scientists who tell the truth about the nonexistent "climate change".

China is Good!
"A Cornell research team's report that measures workers' rights in China against international labor standards finds such serious violations as forced labor, child labor, discrimination against women and rural workers and virtually no freedom of association -- but also small pockets where change is beginning to happen."
China is a model when it comes to handling workers unions and extremists who demand "workers rights" as we have seen lately with the fascist attack on a small swedish business called Wild’n Fresh.
There is a lot to learn for Sweden for example who has a deep economic relationship with China.
China, for example, makes very good use of their prisoners, they had at least 1100 laborcamps in 1999 and the prisoners organ are sold on the free market. Something Sweden definitely should emulate.
Not to mention Chinas Golden Shield that has given wonderful business opportunities to swedish companies like ericsson.
And think about all the children at christmas time if it wasnt for cheap chinese toys..
"Kina kommer inom några år gå om USA som världens största ekonomi"
